30-Hour YIN YOGA IMMERSION / 3 Weekends

In this 30-hour training you will learn the basics of Yin Yoga from a Chinese Medicine perspective, where meridian lines meet asana on a unique platform.  Yin yoga is a longevity practice that strongly affects our bones and joints over time.  It offers a powerful healing method using the Chinese medicine meridian lines and helps us to cultivate patience, generate energy and find our way deeper into ourselves.

  • Foundations of Yin Yoga 

  • Foundations of Chinese Medicine  and The 5 Elements

  • Asana and Meridian Theory 

  • Yin Therapeutics - Sequencing for pathologies and life stages

  • Balanced Sequencing for Dynamic Qi Flow

  • Applied Qi Cultivation and Breath Practices 

  • Effective Hands on adjustments to Enhance Qi Flow Through Meridians and Fascia

  • Yin Yoga and Fascia  - Nutrient Dense Practices 

  • Practice Teaching in Small Groups

6 - Non - Contact Hours:

  • Keeping a practice journal

  • eading from recommended reading list

  • writing a paper (topic provided at the end of course)

COST: $575- 3 weekends, $225* per weekend *(You must take Module 1 and 2 before taking Module 3)

DATES: May 11-12, June 1-2, June 15-16 12:30-4:30 


MODULE 1: Fire/Metal/Water Element Sequencing, Yin/Yang Theory, Qi and Meridian Theory, Mindful Adjustments in the Poses

MODULE 2: Wood/Earth Element Sequencing and Meridian Theory, Pranayama for Qi Cultivation, Pulling together the Five Elements, Adjustments and Teaching Practice

MODULE 3: 5-Element Recap, Yin Yoga and Fascia, Yin Therapeutics - Practices for Lower Back, Neck and Shoulders, Digestion, Fertility and Menstrual Disorders, Sense Door Practices to Stimulate Organ Qi, Foundations of Mindfulness in the Yin Practice

PRE-REQUISITES:  You do not need to be a yoga teacher to take this Yin Training.  It is a wonderful practice to have in your alternative medicine kit. I do recommend that you have  at least 1 year of dedicated yoga practice to join this immersion.  I highly recommend the training for Yoga teachers, Nurses, Acupuncturists, Massage Therapists, Physical Therapist and other body workers that want to explore using fascia and meridians as a way into healing. 


BIO: Laura is a 20+ year practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Western Nutrition and uses Yin Yoga therapeutically to enhance the healing process from deep within.  She is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher graduating from Jaya Yoga Center’s first yoga teacher training in 2011.  She has more than 300 hours of training through Insight Yoga Institute where she studies Yin/Yang Yoga and Buddhist Psychology and Mindfulness with Sarah and Ty Powers.
